    The comments on that story are awesome. So is the one guy’s photo of the owl with his head lamp in it’s talons.

    aw hell, now every time we talk about opening trails at night we’re going to have to hear how the owl menace of ’15 was exactly the kind of public safety issue that trail managers were considering when establishing hours of use.

    The Owl Menace of ’15? That was terrible! Thousands of owls tearing out the eyes of little children on the trail! I durn near died from an owl attack! Only thing saved me was going over to France in the Army with the rest of Pershing’s boys in ’17 and whipping the Kaiser.
