As if riding on some of the roads in this country wasn’t bad enough, some upstanding driver is throwing chunks of concrete at unsuspecting cyclists…

They may not be useful for everyone or on every ride, but it’s quite possible that bike mounted cameras could catch this a-hole quicker.

My guess it’s another variation of “wilding”/”knockout game”, a game DC folks are all too familiar with. Also known as “violent games bored teenagers play”. Note that there are actually two victims (at least), not one.

No no no, I think it’s much simpler than that. First the vehicle makes it sound like something an old fart would drive.

So old fart, gets slowed down a couple times by cyclists on his damn roads, so he gets all road ragey, takes one look at this “Don’t Tread On Me” flag, and thinks about how he can assert his liberty to use the roads at a speed he thinks is appropriate, unencumbered by those damn hippies on bikes. Rock throwing ensues, and now he’s a soon to be felon.

Either that, or Cato Caelin(sp), and Michael Jackson are now friends and generally up to no good…. white ford bronco, one glove, etc.

Assuming of course it is indeed said old fart (a la the Colorado road rager from a couple of years back) driving the Bronco and not his teenage son.

I was just in Minneapolis this past weekend. They do have some nice biking infrastructure. Tons of mups, on-road lanes, etc. And the few interactions I did see were all positive of motorists sharing the road. Sad to see such a stupid act of violence.

A Minneapolis-based cyclist on bikeforums said the police are searching for a specific type of suspect – white or Hispanic man in his 20s, possibly a construction worker. Number of victims is up to 5 – 4 cyclists, and one motorist.
