I plan to be there but probably not before 6:30 or so.

I think I can actually attend this time! That’s my last day of class, but my class isn’t actually meeting because that’s when the final is due. And since I already have that final paper written, I have the night off.

!@#$%&?@#%$$$$! Packers fail to communicate internally and no team showed up yesterday or today. ‘Oh, we didn’t know you needed storage packing, too, and we left you a voicemail on your cell phone on Monday…” Of course she knew how much needed to be packed, and why was I originally told that they scheduled me for four days????? Now they can’t come until the 16th , but will should be able to finish in one day.

What does all this have to do with TTHH you ask? Basically it means that even though I’m in town, I can’t commit to an arrival time at Cap City.

You’ll need a beer and good company after all that! Please join us whenever you can.

Wait, are we talking football here? (Sorry. I’m sure that’s extremely frustrating. Moving is already such a stressful time.) But either way, it sounds like a reason for … beer!

Assuming I don’t drink excessively, Google Maps says this is a bike friendly route I can take home afterwards. Can I trust it?

I’d avoid the turn onto Diagonal and continue onto Dangerfield from Commonwealth. Once you hit Duke St. go straight and cut through the park by the Residence Inn, then go right on Jamieson, then left on Holland to Eisenhower. In my experience, Eisenhower is actually pretty easy to ride on, since traffic is rarely heavy and the road is overbuilt.

I should caveat that by saying it’s the route I know, and not necessarily better. Although Mill doesn’t look too friendly, there is a side path, at least.

You might also want to consider riding or taking a bus to a yellow line metro station (several easy options) and then riding home from the Huntington metro station. Metro allows bikes after 7 pm.

I hate that ride up Valley, but then I am a wimp about hills. Not sure where the bike lane on Braddock begins – at least that part is downhill.

I can vouch for everything being safe until you get to Diagonal–Rootchopper showed me the way last happy hour. Valley is hilly, but totally doable. The hills are moreso long, but not super steep. Just make sure your bike has good brakes for the steep downhill on Braddock right before Russel.

Once you hit diagonal it might be great, I have no idea. I’ve just never taken it.
