Air Force Kids Race

Hello,

My five year old will be in the race, it is his first race of any kind and my first experience with any organized cycling event. Do you have any advice? I assume there are event volunteers on the course at the same time in case of collisions..

I’ve told him to try to ride in a straight line, have fun, and don’t get upset when you see an older kid finish ahead of you.

He already tears up our neighborhood on an oversized bike (a gary fisher w/ 20 inch wheels picked up at a yard sale) and is very excited about the race. He has even prompted me to get more into cycling.
