Puddles on the CCT. Which I know because the rider I was drafting hit every single one. Which I did not do when he was drafting me.

Well that answers the internal debate I’ve had since Monday– 50-60 mile bike ride early Saturday on the W&OD or attempt to finish building my garden that day (it’s an all day project at the minimum). I’ll just hope the weather is nice Sunday and I’ll ride my bike down the W&OD then…

Can some report on the status of the asphalt repair on the 4MRT extension between the I-395 and West Glebe Rd underpasses. When I went through about 8:30 a couple trucks had just arrived. When I went back through at 9:30, the crew was working on the problem with the concrete to asphalt transition closest to I-395 and the trail was blocked.

Fixed! Not quite as smooth as immediately post-repair last time they did it, but 10x better than it was.

On Wilson Blvd in the Bluemont neighborhood, I noticed that the road is being repaved as part of the following project that will add bike lanes between the street behind the Safeway (Frederick St) and Bluemont Park (Manchester Street): http://projects.arlingtonva.us/projects/wilson-boulevard-improvements/

Last I checked, no paint had been laid, but I will get some pics later this afternoon of the situation.
