The races start at 7:30 am. Road closures and detours begin at 7 am and continue through at least 2 pm. Roads on the earlier part of the course will open before other sections.
The marathon course runs from 14th & Constitution NW to Foggy Bottom, Memorial Circle, Rock Creek Parkway, Adams Morgan, McMillan Reservoir, North Capitol St., NoMa, H St NE, Capitol Hill, Nationals Park, Buzzard Point, Anacostia Park, Fort Dupont Park and RFK Stadium.

If you’re riding anywhere in or near central DC and along the Anacostia River tomorrow, be prepared for those road closures and detours. Or delay your ride until the late afternoon.
If you’re a fan of the band Better Than Ezra, you should be able to see the concert at the finish line festival on the RFK Stadium grounds (parking lots). Or cheer on the runners anywhere along the course.
Note: I’m not running the race. I don’t know if I’ll ever sign up for a long early-season race. I don’t like to run that much in early winter, so I wouldn’t be prepared for a March marathon or even half marathon.
