    WHOA WHOA WHOA, RCannon100. I sense something devious going on. It so happens that you are competing on the Doozy Dozers Team 12 that has just overtaken its chief rival – your son’s own admirable team — the Bipolar Bears Team 6. And you are also painfully aware that The Kid is a heck of a lot stronger than anyone and could leave all of us in the dust if so motivated.
    So what does Daddy do? He goes out and buys The Kid an addictive new INDOOR playtoy to keep him occupied with Matt and PeteD drinking imaginary coffee on the #nobafs trainer bike. An innocent “gift” to your dear boy? Or an underhanded attempt to subjugate a great team of Bears that shares your very own flesh and blood?

    Well, I have recently been accused of being selfish. So sabotaging bears would be consistent with my sins.

    However, I can assure you that my selfishness is operative in a different direction: child neglect. I have given not a dime to The Kid in a fortnight. Yes, 90% of my salary goes into a 529 – but that should only be enough to get him a couple of weeks of school. No, apparently at his new job at a bike shop, they let him borrow a bluetooth thingy that you stick into the gizmo in order to make the whatzit work. I have not contributed to his delinquency; all of his current toys are self-purchased.

    While cycling around the Island this morning, apparently he was passed by a pack of NCVC poseurs – which he then caught up to and rode with for a while. Weird. Just weird. Did he go sledding today – which I consider to be one of the funnest things ever – no of course not.

    M thrilled that you think M making to FCCII tomorrow. M wondering if M making it to the real FCC tomorrow (I did all my homework – but will there be skul?).
