WOD trail condition

I was thinking about riding this afternoon if the trail isn’t icy. Anybody been out today and can share what they experienced?

I rode the stretch between Park St in Vienna and Virginia lane around 8:00 am this morning. It was about 3-4″ of heavy snow, ruts from footprints. Really tough to bike through, a lot may have melted by now but it’ll refreeze tonight.

We usually start up a monthly thread for each month in the winter. The thread covers most of the usual trail and road routes used by cyclists. There are enough hardy souls that key trails like W&OD have semi-regular update reports on the thread.
