We don’t have anything official, other than encouraging folks to commit and ride:

It looks like BicycleSpace is doing a count at 15th and Mass and giving out bagels and coffee tomorrow. Will be interesting to see how many people they end up counting. That said, I would think they’d get more commuters by counting at the 14th Street Bridge.

I would do all of the bridges if it were possible. I used to do 14th every day and I think it gets the highest volume, but the others, particularly Key, get high volumes too in the morning.

After getting home last night feeling beat up by that headwind, I was fully intending to skip today’s WBTWD and just count my short trip to/from that metro as my ride. But I was inspired by the tweets and feeling refreshed enough to go. Glad I did. With the wind behind me and plenty of layers it wasn’t bad at all and the bright sun made 10 degrees feel almost like…15!

Agreed the dry conditions and sunshine made it feel at least 5F warmer. At least!

I got to 15th and Mass after stopping at FCC and didn’t see any sign of the counters, bagels, or coffee. Sigh. :(

They probably bailed out because of the brutal weather. The overall cyclist numbers were probably much lower than usual because of the weather too. Not really the best day to count if one is looking for a representative sample.

Well, since I’m no longer “commuting,” I guess I shouldn’t be counted anyway. ;)

I was at 15th & Mass at 8:15 AM with a group of 3 cyclists and there were 2 WBTWD counters who check us in, FYI
