Weekly Indoor Bike Race Comes to Crystal City in March
Crystal City (Arlington, VA) – The Crystal City Business Improvement District (BID) in partnership with Vornado/Charles E. Smith and Crosshairs Cycling will host an indoor bike race every Wednesday night in the month of March. With the unpredictable weather and a quiet local race calendar, March is the perfect time for an indoor race and provides a warm-up to a racer’s pre-season training program.
“Crystal City is an active and bike-friendly neighborhood,” said Angela Fox, President/CEO of the Crystal City BID. “Wednesday Night Spins is a creative and fun way to experience bike culture while highlighting our incredible parking assets.”
The course will be fast and fun for all abilities, and participants will compete for prizes for the top finishers each week while earning points toward being the best rider of the series. The lounge area will provide great viewing and happy hour drinks in the Washington Wine Academy beer and wine garden. Guests not racing can still enjoy fun games and activities in the lounge area. The first race will debut on March 4, 2015.

6:30 PM –Advanced “B” Race (35 minutes)
7:25 PM – Beginner “C” Race (30 minutes)
8:25 PM – Elite “A” Race (45 minutes)
