Welcome. Pictures would help. This might be a minor problem. Sometimes a fall will twist the stem so the handlebars are turned to the side. Sometimes this even causes the front brake cable to pull the front brake against the wheel. When you say “broken” do you mean the bike does not work right? Or did something actually crack/fracture/break?

Is 1439 Spring Road your address? If so, two things. 1) I wouldn’t post my address on a public forum. 2) Get yourself to Annie’s Ace Hardware at 1240 Upshur St NW next Saturday between 12 and 3 for the last Bike House session of the year for “free bicycle maintenance services and education”. They’ll help you out.

Do you know any cheap place where I can fix the bike?

If you work downtown, the District Hardware Bike Shop (24th St) is very reliable and has reasonable prices. Near Chinatown, BicylceSpace is another good place to go.

if you bought the bike at a shop here in DC, you might consider taking it to them.
