    Two references to how cars are unethical. Wow. I’d prefer to ride than drive, but I’m not sure I’d call owning a car or driving one unethical. Discuss.

    That’s the kind of language that ends conversations before you can show the skeptic how great biking is. And I don’t think owning a car is unethical. I think living really far from everywhere you want to go and getting in the car every time you leave the house is not a luxury the planet can really afford at this point. And I think cargo bikes are awesome.

    I saw one to how having a second car for someone who works at home seemed unethical, and another to bikes being ethical. I don’t think either of those are radical statements.

    Perhaps not, but in cocktail conversation, linking car ownership to ethics–in a society where car ownership is normative–might not add to the festivities.
