What time is the main ride rollout? 8:00 sharp or later?

    8am.

And it’s a drop ride, so good luck trying to catch on if you miss the start. :p

True story! My family missed the start last year, and never joined the group. We did see JasonB and his daughter bringing up the rear, though. That was adorable.

I plan to be there, but at the moment I’m recovering from getting all 4 wisdom teeth removed this morning. My road to recovery is paved with ice cream and gauze pads :)

No, we brought up the rear. Remember when I encouraged the sweeps to go ahead? “We know the way, Thanks.”

Or, just come for the 10am Family Ride by Kidical Mass Arlington. It’s awesome and it’s not an 8am start.

It’s nothing but rules 5 and 9 in my clan. They will do the whole loop and like it.

I meant that JasonB was bringing up the rear of the group, and we were staying far enough behind him as not to be a part of the group (it’s a semantic point, I’ll admit). The sweeps were behind us for a while, but as you pointed out, even they dropped us (though they offered not to drop us, to their credit).

The AFR only qualifies for Rule #5 if you do the whole loop AND the Kidical Mass ride.

Right, because finishing a century only counts if you do a two-mile cool down afterwards.

The Arlington Fun Ride was, well, fun!

I was happy to see a lot of familiar faces, especially after spending 2 days in near-quarantine while I was recovering from getting all 4 wisdom teeth removed on Thursday. Pleasant weather, starting the ride behind the bubble bike, and much more added up to a nice group ride. I must apologize to the guy on the MVT whose path I wandered into on the boardwalk, though (I was distracted by talking to someone).

Here are my pics from the ride:

The ride was great, and I look forward to riding this next year!
