ParticipantI’ll have a look at this when I get home where streaming content is not blocked. I’m interested to see what he does, since when I think “Lance Armstrong” and “flat tire”, what usually comes to mind is a hand raised for the team car to see, stopping at the side of the road for a five second wheel change, and then something like this:

White hoods with black tape burns my eyeballs and his black socks with black shoes made me throw up in my mouth a little…
I’m sorry, what were we talking about?

I think the bike (especially in this photo) is a bit busy/loud, but it seems to adhere reasonably to rule #8. Of course, I tend to believe the only valid implementation of rule #8 is the “black, black, black” option.

Wait, what color socks are you supposed to wear with black shoes? All my cycling socks are black (or mostly so)!

Admittedly, I don’t dislike the look so much as the one sporting it here, but I feel weird wearing black socks…they just look like dress socks. Personally, I tend to stick with white. Of course, I think the fashion gods would really just say “wear white shoes,” but I can’t quite bring myself to do that.

Any color socks go with white shoes!

This is true.
Yeah, I can’t bring myself to wear white shoes, because I assume they’ll just get dirty. Of course, I have no problem wearing hi-viz yellow/green boots in the winter!

ParticipantWhite shoes remind me of white sneakers, which remind me of tourists. No thanks.

http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/doc/bik/4423832809.htmlWow, that is a great deal. If they were 48s I would buy them in a heartbeat.

ParticipantEven apart from the doping stuff, I’m not so sure Lance Armstrong is the best person to film a flat tire video, though he does admit that he just learned how to change a tire in the video.
At the 2009 Leadville 100 mountain bike race, he had no idea how to fix his flat tire. He looked the tire over, moved the bike around, then finally decided that it would be best to just ride onto the finish on the flat tire. Someone posted a video on YouTube. The scene was also filmed and shown in the documentary “Race Across the Sky” (which was an awesome movie, until the full truth about Armstrong came out a couple years later).

Well sure, a Brit can pull it off. Or a South Carolinian. But the latter would require a seersucker kit to match.

Celeste also covers a multitude of sins.
