    Hi BikeArlington, I’ve been lurking for a while and participating in the Friday Coffee Club’s at Swings downtown when I can. My name is Tony and I commute from Del Ray into SE DC…. of course my bike life is so interesting that I’m compelled to have a blog (http://dr2dc.blogspot.com). 😎

    Based on the warmish weather I’m going to divert from my normal commute to do a ‘coffee shop w/out walls’ tomorrow morning;

    Thursday, 2/20/2014
    0645, (sunrise is 0653)
    LBJ Memorial Grove (off the MV Trail) http://www.nps.gov/lyba/index.htm
    -you have to go through the Columbia Island Marina parking lot

    I’m meeting one other commuter there and won’t have much extra coffee, but feel free to pull up a thermos or bring a camp stove and brew up some of your own. The view should be nice. I’ll be pulling chocks by 0745 at the latest probably closer to 0730. If it works out with your ride in tomorrow it’d be cool to see you!

    Tony

    Great morning for a coffee, this was my first time packing the full coffee brew kit in DC and it turned out great. I think I’ll try to keep up a semi-regular ‘sunrise coffee club’ especially as it gets a bit warmer out!

    All of the coffee clubs start a little too late for my work, but if this one stays at sunrise, eventually it will hit my commute times! I will be certain to join if/when it does….
