Road salt on dry roads

Quick question – I just got a new road bike and was thinking about taking it out tomorrow, but I started to wonder if I shouldn’t because of road salt. I’m assuming the roads will be completely dry, but there’s still some white residue on the road, right? I’d be on the road (S. Eads) about a mile each way, and then could stay on MUTs apart from the all-too-frequent road crossings. I don’t want to be doing something stupid with my bike, but I don’t particularly like the idea of hanging it up for 3-4 months this year either (or any future year, for that matter). What do you all think? Would it be okay to ride on a bit of dry road salt? Thanks!
