Eastern market. On a nice fall days like this, nothing looks
better than our fair city. Bring a lock, stroll around, get coffee
And pick-a-little-shop-a-little, read the various menus and you pick
    Or eat street food.

Lots of options in Old Town. Hard to beat the views too, especially if you walk along the pedestrian-only paths along the river. Mt. Vernon Trail becomes an on-street trail in Old Town but it should be OK.

There is always the drag show brunch at Perrys in AdMo. Probably a stretch to be done in four hours though, the lines can get long. Much fun to be sure.

Thanks for the good ideas. We will need to get a regular babysitter and try all of them :) We were in the mood for nature, so we ended up riding up through Rock Creek Park and then over to Bethesda and back down the Capitol Crescent trail. It was a beautiful ride with fall colors. Also got to ride on the parkway for a bit since it was closed for the marathon, but the marathon was done. It was a bit sad to see all the trash left behind by the spectators though.

I thought I’d revive this thread. It’s nice weather out now, and I’d love to hear kid-friendly brunch spots that people love with nearby bike parking. I’ll be towing a trailer, so quieter streets are preferred!
