I want to start out with a heart-felt sorry. I feel that I have let you down. Since the tragedy at the Navy Yard on September 16th I have not ridden as much as I want, and I have not really been a bike commuter. Things have been tough, re-establishing a work place (away from a building that is not open for business), weighing time in the saddle with time at home. Couple this with a government shutdown perpetrated by true a$$clowns. I don’t know if my lack of miles have been due to a a desire to be with my family as much as possible, or just due to the fact that the dawn is coming later each day. All I know is that I am down from my weekly average of 125 miles to a mere 10. I thnk I need a challenge like Freezing saddles to get me back in gear, but for now, although I am still using my legs to get to work, I may be relying more on public transit for more of my comute than not. I miss you guys, but I guess I missed my kids and wife more. I will see you out on the trail soon.
