Not sure if this will actually have any impact on the trails…

Goel Services will be starting next Tuesday, October 15, 2013, Cleaning and TVing the sanitary sewer main along Four Mile Run, from RT 50 to Columbia Pike. They will have to be in the park areas and may temporarily be within distance of/block bike and pedestrian trails, to access sanitary sewer manholes. The parks they may be bringing equipment onto are: Glencarlyn Park, Tyroll Hills Park, and Arlington Mill Community Center.

The work will take 2-3 weeks to complete, however, they will only be in one particular location for less than a day. We will provide updates if we anticipate any temporary blockages of bike trails.

I wonder if that means just the 4 Mile Run Trail or parts of the W&OD too? I at lease expect we’ll encounter motor vehicles.

After all the rain this week, there is going to be a lot of sewage overflow and mixing between the sanitary sewers and the storm sewers. Four Mile Run is likely to be very foul in the coming days.
