    Any good places to buy used parts in the D.C. area? Like, bins of stuff I can dig through for my next weirdo project? Surely the no complete bikes unless you’re a pawn shop thing wouldn’t apply to this!

    Maybe something like this place I used to go to in St. Louis with a DIY shop? http://www.bworks.org/bikeworks/

    I believe the Velocity Coop on Mt Vernon in Alexandria would be one place.

    Phoenix Bikes is also great. I got a front Deore LX wheel there for $25 when other shops we asking for $85 used.

    I do not know the answer to this question, but I would suggest you not underestimate the ridiculousness of our fair city.

    Oh, if anything I plan on adding to any amount of ridiculousness. Next project involves a pursuit frame and probably a disc wheel… as a city bike. :D
