    A coworker saw someone using one of these this morning: http://solowheel.com/

    Basically a unicycle version of a segway! Does this count as an e-bike?

    Fascinating. My first reaction is that it seems like something out of Wall-E.

    One difference is that e-bikes can be used as regular bikes. Though this seems like the walking equivalent to using an ebike with assist.

    My first impression is that I (and many other poorly-balanced folks) would bust my face inside a minute on that thing.

    In addition to the risk of falling over, I think many people would get tired of trying to balance on that thing after 5 minutes or so. I’d rather see a wider and denser CaBi network, and more bike racks instead.

    Worry not, no one has lived long enough on one to get a flat or wear out a tire.
