Fascinating. My first reaction is that it seems like something out of Wall-E.
One difference is that e-bikes can be used as regular bikes. Though this seems like the walking equivalent to using an ebike with assist.
$1800 for the solowheel half price for a knockoff? http://www.amazon.com/Balancing-Unicycle-Electric-Scooter-9-8kg/dp/B00BN4COVA/ref=pd_sim_sbs_sg_2
My first impression is that I (and many other poorly-balanced folks) would bust my face inside a minute on that thing.
We’re one step closer….
In addition to the risk of falling over, I think many people would get tired of trying to balance on that thing after 5 minutes or so. I’d rather see a wider and denser CaBi network, and more bike racks instead.
How would you replace a flat on that thing?

You are on your game today. Nice work.

Worry not, no one has lived long enough on one to get a flat or wear out a tire.
