Third Thursday HH in Foggy Bottom is June 20th!

The June Third Thursday Happy Hour is nearly here. I thought this time we would do one in DC, to help out our friends who live in the District and Maryland. The HH will be at Circa in Foggy Bottom, at the corner of 23rd and I NW. It has very easy access from many points downtown, as well as access to the TR Bridge. We have reserved a mix of some high-tops along with some pretty good standing room as well, so it should be a good chance to mingle with folks.

Aaargh. I’ll be out of town on the 20th – Circa’s pretty good and has a decent beer list IIRC. Bike parking isn’t the best around there (be smart about locking up – I’ve had a bike stolen on the GW campus in the past), but depending on where you lock up, and whether or not you’re at the outside bar, you may be able to keep an eye on things.

Steve, I heard Circa is having a big fundraising event there for a World Refugee fund. Hope there’s enough room! Sounds like we’ll be inside? How’d the bike parking BTW?

We will be inside, we have a decent amount of standing space and a few high tops in the back left portion of the bar (when you enter, go left). It was hard to find anywhere in that area with much more space (esp. on a Thursday), but I think we should be good. Hopefully it should work out just fine!

Bike parking is a little hit and miss, with some by the metro across the street, and then just normal street signs and the like around the area in front of Circa. Some others on the forum might have better advice in that area (I do not work around there).

People usually begin arriving around 5 and there are usually people still around at 8, I would say. Does that sound accurate to others?

I’ll be leaving from Suitland after 4, so should arrive before 5. Will anyone be getting there before 5?
