Next month I’ll be in Istanbul for Bill McKibben’s Global Power Shift. Twas thinking about buying a Brompton Folding, but maybe I should rent or borrow first. Anyone have any suggestions?

My forewarning–their version of Metro is more crowded than our version. But their hills are pretty much the same. I spent most of my time walking places there, but I imagine I would have gotten much further (and faster) via bike. Not to mention how crappy their traffic is. If you can rent a road bike and get out into Turkey’s countryside, there are some really beautiful places to see.
