I was on the raised wooden-plank (and frost) covered trail near Rosslyn. Following a guy and about to pass, but my speed got the best of me :(.

I should have been going slower – it was completely my fault. I just want to add a warning to others (as if the signs and terraine weren’t enough) to slow down in this area. It could cost you a busted hip, a busted bike, and some busted shoes :(. I immediately got out of the trailway and continued on until it was safe to check myself out before continuing on to work.

The troll (the one who lives under the walkway) strikes again!

That sucks. I’ve bitten that wood myself. I noticed it was frosty there this morning.

Sorry you fell! Sounds like the ice/frost trolls have been out in force this week. My bruised hip is still a bit sore.

Ugh…the wood section even scares me in the summer. There must be some sort of cost-effective and durable anti-skid solution they could come up with. Can’t you get outdoor paint with grit in it to make surfaces non-skid? Not looking for the nanny state to take care of me, but it seems a reasonable idea.

They could use the same no slip stuff that they use to coat boat docks. I wonder how much trouble we would all get in if we just all chipped in a few bucks and went out at 2am one night and did it ourselves? I probably shouldn’t put these ideas in writing, ha.
