Thanks for the pics…..I’m not exactly sure how else to respond without sounding jealous… have fun riding in Germany…. at least we’re having a heat wave this weekend!

A short ride through Hannover Germany this morning confirmed that this country just gets bike infrastructure better than we likely ever will.

And the opposite extreme … Nepal, where there is no bike infrastructure but plenty of bikes! Here is a typical set up:

I’m guessing pedestrians aren’t allowed in the bike lanes in Germany? I seem to recall that setup in Munich a long time ago.

A few more pictures from my travels. This batch (as well as the one above from Nepal) are dedicated to Rod. If the cargo biking in DC dries up I know of a few places you may be able to find work!

    Who knows what.

Other things I’ve seen being hauled by bike in India: large gas canisters, big jugs of water, goats, a 10-12 foot ladder on the shoulders of two riders on different bikes (cornering must have been a challenge), wood cabinets, rugs, wool, and refrigerators.

I realized I have a few from one of my trips to Afghanistan.
