    I’m not buying your interpretation of achievable speeds. The clause is meant to exclude golf carts, which also can be dropped from heights.

    Yeah, transport is transport — the way old people drive in my neighborhood, I wish way more of them were piloting golf carts. (Or Power Wheels for that matter.)

    I plug in my light to recharge it. Does my bike qualify as an electric vehicle? It does 45… just check out my Strava log files.

    According to Strava I did 10 laps of Hains Point yesterday at 118 MPH, so my bike can qualify too!

    45mph top speed and 2.5kw battery is not an e-bike, it’s a motorcycle. I do wish, though that the tax benefit would include actual e-bikes (20mph top speed and weigh no more than 100lbs etc) because they are way more energy efficient than any plug in car or motorcycle.
