I love how some outsiders think we wear lycra because we think it’s stylish or something.

It doesn’t occur to them that the funny outfits might actually be the best tool for the job. Without padded shorts it’s safe to say I would never have put in all the miles I have over the past 7 years. And the jerseys… I can’t count the number of times I’ve been going about random daily tasks wishing I was wearing a cycling jersey so I could stuff things in the pockets for easy, always there storage.
