It’s not quite the same thing but the Potomac Pedalers run hundreds of “organized” rides each month.

    They have a website: http://www.potomacpedalers.org/

The first year I owned a bike I rode with them every weekend and learned the basics of riding with a group.

Look carefully at the posted average speeds. There is a little drift towards faster than advertised, be forewarned.

A fun group, never had a bad ride. Except for the first one. But that’s a long story.

There are two more DC Randonneurs brevets; both 200K’s. One on the eastern shore in early November and one in northern MD in early December.

I think there are some Thanksgiving Day shop rides — I believe Spokes has done one out of Vienna in years past. Check the shop calendars as the date gets closer.

I think lots of shop rides go right through the winter — I know ours do. However, ours definitely don’t qualify as “organized.”

It all depends on how you define “organized.”

(I think my closets are “organized.”)

haha thanks for the replies. I appreciate it. By organized, I meant something like the Crystal Rides and Reston Century types. But with it being basically November, those are probably finished. Maybe a season ending brevet is in ny future.
