ParticipantThe impact will likely be a hybrid hurricane-midlatitude baroclinic storm kinda like the ‘perfect storm’ of ’91. You can almost hear the excitement in the meteorologist’s voices because these are rare events. The combination of the two will make it stronger than they each would be on their own. The effects will be similar to a powerful nor’easter so keep an ear/eye to the forecast and consider alternatives for getting to work on Monday-Tuesday. I’m not saying here(!!), but there could be significant snow on the backside of the storm in places like WV, NW PA, and upstate NY so there will be a lot of cold air on the way in after the storm passes.

ParticipantSo what you guys are saying is if I affix a sail to my bike and am going in the proper direction then I won’t have to do any work? Sounds awesome.

I’m pretty sure there would be no around to complain in the high winds/heavy rains
.
I could probably use oversized backpack and get the same effect. One of those gusty days last year it did the trick, literally pushing me uphill at ridiculous speeds a few times.

Haha, that I would love to see on the trails just to see how many people called the “see something, say something” line.

Brakes? With all that wind? Why bother, I’ll be right behind you though. With the storm surge as high as what they’re calling for, I’m bringing this:
