ParticipantSo sad I’m going to be out of town for a wedding that weekend. Would have been the ultimate venue to try out the glow-in-the-dark bubbles.

You seriously need to reevaluate your priorities.
Glow in the dark bubbles ALWAYS trumps weddings and any outing that does not entail bikes.

ParticipantThere are all sorts of bike events. Over time I’ve figured out the ones that serve adult beverages tend to be more fun (MoCo Epic, Crystal City Diamond Derby) than the ones that serve granola bars and bananas. Less painful too. This should be a very fun event.

ParticipantI completely wrote this ride off since I thought Oct 20th had already happened. I’ll probably make the same mistake tomorrow. Staying up late on weekends isn’t for me anymore.

ParticipantSo far, this is my illuminated helmet. It runs on two AA batteries clipped into the strap in the back and taped with transparent packing tape.

No rhinestones?
Seriously, love it. How did you do it/where did you get it?

ParticipantHmm, that was kind enough to shame me out of what I was considering wearing.

ParticipantIt was very successful, about 75 bikes and great weather. DC at night is an entirely different experience. The Capitol is beautiful, and so it the Air and Space Museum. The most fun was rolling through the Eastern Market area. Many people were sitting at outside cafes and waved as we went by. The traffic was light and the route was easy to follow. All in all it very fun.
