Cyclist harrassment in CO

Found this on the regional news stories from CNN.

Obviously it’s frustrating that these two cyclists were getting harrassed, but it’s nice to see the media, and the police are getting involved on the proper side to see that this kind of thing is stopped. Also a relief to see that it was simply car horn harrassment and not something dangerous.

They found the guy – a 75-year-old man. He got several citations.

Given that the guy is 75 years old and possibly prone to being confused, my wife suggested that maybe he thought he was driving one of the TdF team cars and was just trying to cheer the guys on. It’s tough surviving in a two-man breakaway!

CNN did a spot on it yesterday and Bicycling Magazine posted it today so it hit mainstream USA already which is awesome. I really appreciated the calm responses from the riders, wish I could be that composed.
