Both yesterday afternoon and this morning when I crossed the bridge there were photographers (amateur, I guess) standing on the bridge waiting for a clear break in cycle traffic to snap photos.

    Bikes make any photo better.

I agree. But getting hit by one while looking through your (D)SLR to frame a photo would not! :D

I did, but it was 0530 and there really wasn’t enough light to get a good exposure at speed. I’ll get them on the way home.

Looking through the view finder or at the monitor while you shoot is for wimps. Point the sucker and pull the trigger. Burst mode will take care of the details. ;)

Thanks, again, Dirt. This is the 2nd super important thing I learned from you lately! I just set my little Nikon to BSS (best shot selector, shoots 10 and keeps the best of them). Now I need to continue to master the quick draw!

Unfortunately, my commute doesn’t take me past much patriotic stuff. Still, a hearty THANK YOU to anyone who serves this country in any manner.

I was active duty Army on 9/11, and will never forget that day.

Had much better conditions on the ride home. It is hard to imagine riding across 14th Street bridge being an emotional experience… but on this day every year for the last 12, it has been.
