    Because!

I’m glad the folks at Proteus felt I needed it too. Anthony, Ben, John really set me up today and this baby feels so great! Proteus is in great hands with the new owners, Laurie (mllwhnp) and Jeff (Greenbelt). I know, I know, stop sounding like an ad. Sorry, just really excited about this. This is going to make the difference between commuting 1-2 days a week and striving for 4-5 days a week. My “aggressive” position Trek was starting to wreak a little havoc on my spine. The Bosanova is SO comfortable. When Jeff let me ride his, it really felt like the difference between a Lamborghini (my Trek) and a Cadillac (the Jamis). A Lambo is fun (right? anyone know for sure?) but the Cadillac will be better for long distances (right? never had a caddy either :( )

Now, off to put on the fenders, rack, lights, and get this baby’s weight up!

Thanks Cert for the nice words, but I’m not sure it’s going to be a very effective ad since you bought the last dang one! I hope it works out as good as mine has. -Jeff

Have you seen the new year model?! It’s even nicer, I almost feel like I should’ve waited for the new ones (almost lol). They ditched the silly fenders on the ’11s and went with some really nice ones for the ’13 model.

by the way, ask Laurie about the Ortliebs LOL I seriously need some now. Can she put a single order in?

Wow really nice bike, and I like its outfitting. Definitely keep that one locked up tight.

It stays inside at home, and I work at a federal complex, so it’s pretty safe! 😎

Sweet. I like the clean look of those fenders, love the saddle, and the disc brakes will be awesome in the wet.

Yeah, those fenders are really cool looking. Unfortunately, I’ve been told they’re completely useless, just strips of metal. I’ve already swapped them out. I like the ones on the new models, they look useful. The disc brakes will definitely be nice, my wet ride today was a bit hairy at times on my Trek 😮

My brother’s SSCX commuter has similar flat fenders and he likes them – apparently it’s a lot less likely to build up snow that way. He also lives in CO where it’s more likely to snow than rain.

Love the new ride! You’ll have fun with that. Looks like they really set you up nicely too.
