6th Street South tree hazard

    On westbound 6th Street South between Adams and Barton Streets, there is a low-hanging tree limb directly above the bike lane. I took a good whack on the helmet tonight. (I had my visor pulled low as I rode into the setting sun, so I didn’t see it above me.) Is there any chance of having it trimmed before someone gets hurt?

    Along the same lines, nature is encroaching on the too-narrow-to-begin-with trail along the TR bridge. Any chance there’s a jurisdiction that will take responsibility and take care of it. The worst of it is from Roosevelt Island, so I imagine it’s NPS. Sigh.
