Got to ride the Rock & Roll Marathon route in reverse while the race was running. Not the entire thing, just RFK around to Maine Ave and thru capital hill to to RFK again. Still it was cool riding those empty freeways. I was working so I didn’t get to dawdle but it was a glorious day for it.

Fun. I’ll have to try that some time. You were volunteering I presume?

I rode the entire full marathon course with the lead male runners as a volunteer course marshal. Have to agree on how amazing it is to ride that car-free. Only one problem incident with a woman in Anacostia coming out onto the road way and yelling at three of us (two on bikes with the runner in 3rd place) about how we were causing people to not be able to get places.
