ParticipantI have a friend who uses it religiously to train for Triathlons in Portland. I’ve looked at some of his rides, and the interface took some getting used to. I downloaded it once upon a time to try with my phone, but never used it. The main draw for me was the ANT+ capability, but for that, you need an ANT+ phone, and there are only two in the US market that I know of at the moment. The HTC Rhyme and the Sony Xperia. Were you looking for the phone capability, or importing ride data from a GPS?

ParticipantMostly just curious about it’s capabilities and limitations, and it’s reputation among users.

ParticipantAm I the only one wondering if Tim, having collected all the Strava KOMs within biking distance of North Arlington, is looking for a new network to dominate?

ParticipantRideWithGPS just came out with a “segments” this past week. I already have friends poking me about it.

ParticipantYeah I noticed that and created one for the Custis climb out of Rosslyn the other day. http://ridewithgps.com/segments/Rosslyn-climb
All my ridewithgps rides are “private” though so it’s pointless for me unless I go back and edit every single one, and until Tuesday they were all done with a car GPS so they’re inaccurate anyway. I do like ridewithgps though. I haven’t tried endomondo.

ParticipantNever thought of timing the Rossyln climb, sounds like a fun idea, but I might wait until the trail clears out just a bit!

I’m picturing small children fleeing in terror as all 10 feet of Tim comes flying up the trail in pursuit of the latest KOM.
Actually now I want to see this.

Come on, it’s more than nine feet of elevation gain from the bridge to the crest of the hill!

that bothers me too. I just changed it to ‘ascent’ does it show up for you? not sure if anyone can edit anyone’s segment names, but I seem to have been able to edit ones I didn’t create. Like this one.
