In case anyone is venturing out this morning, last night’s snow is not much of a problem — at least in south Arlington, since other areas might have gotten more snow.
Salt trucks have been out on some of the major roads, such as Columbia Pike, George Mason Drive, Glebe Road. Those roads are wet and there is a little slush.
By contrast, anywhere that was untreated is fine. Most of the snow has blown off the roads. (All the sidewalks I saw are clear.)What little there is, in some areas, is easy to ride through. (I’ve got slicks on the full-size Dahon and had no problems.)
Black ice? I did not encounter any. Salted areas were wet, others were dry. Some manhole covers did have some packed snow/ice.
Once the sun comes up, everything should be fine.
