ParticipantI’m pretty sure I don’t own a single piece of clothing made of tweed…

ParticipantNice photos! I didn’t even know about it. However, I believe the fashion aphorism applies: if you are old enough to have embraced a style or trend the first time around, you should avoid it the next time. And I actually did own an internal hub three speed bike back in the day (and still do, though it is on multi-decade loan to my mother).

ParticipantWould have been there – bi-annual responsibilities as a son got in the way. Next time. Looks like fun though.

ParticipantIt doesn’t count, Riley, if you never moved on from it . . .
@Jim – there were plenty of non-tweed people out there. In fact, I wasn’t actually wearing tweed, either (tho’ I did look good, if I do say so myself . . .). The important part is that you’re out there. (And a close runner up is working hard at looking sharp.)
Everyone – your next opportunity will come summer 2012, as I’m sure the Seersucker Ride (for which I actually wore linen, this year) will repeat.
How can you skip a ride with scenes like this?

Oh no, you did not say *that*.
Blacknell, tell me. When is the ride where you wear the cape and tights, that’s the one I’m waiting for.

He wears tights and usually puts on his cape on the back half of the Conte’s/Freshbike’s Tuesday Night ride. You should come join us for more of those…

ParticipantI’ll be out there next week, classes are cancelled. He better be wearing his cape or he’ll have to wear the one I’m bringing….

ParticipantAre they still running the Tuesday night rides? It’s dark the entire time now.

ParticipantNo, last I heard they aren’t doing much. Mr. Blacknell might have more information–apparently he was leading the “A ride” last time.

ParticipantAnd A stands for…. No, I just called over there and the season is over.
