Kent Island trails?

My Mom lives in Queenstown. Only trail I’m aware of is the Cross Island Trail, starts at Terrapin Nature park and runs like 6 miles or so (all paved)

Old Love Point park is at about the 1mi marker.

Lots of low traffic roads in the area though, and mostly flat.

Most of the roads in that area have little to no shoulder, but good sight lines. I think “bikeable” is in the eye of the beholder. To me, yes, but I’m not put off by road riding. If you’re averse to riding on roads without a bike lane or wide shoulder you’re probably not going to like much of that area. Most isn’t heavily trafficked but you’re still riding on road.

I know Dirt and others ride the Eastern shore on occasion, they may weigh in here too.

We usually base our Eastern Shore rides out of Easton. The farm roads in that area are awesome. Potomac Pedalers have some good routes in that area. Google finds their site. Fortunately or unfortunately they moved their cue sheet library into the Member section. In my book it is well worth the price of admission.

Their catalogue of cue sheets has been an awesome way to explore the area. Using them in conjunction with a GPS has been a good resource for new loops. Though some are somewhat dated, they’ve got hundreds of great rides. I enter them into RideWithGPS.com and then drop them into my Garmin and go. I feel pretty good about leading a ride that I’ve never done before.
