    Even a close call with a Mazda 6 running a stop sign couldn’t make this morning suck.

    65 degrees, not a cloud around, cars were all polite… this morning’s commute couldn’t have been much better.

    I wish I was wearing a helmet camera this morning. As I was stopping for a 4 way stop in a 25mph residential neighborhood (a block from home), a dude in a G35 coupe comes flying down the hill, blows the stop sign to my right, poorly apexes the turn at full speed, misses me by 4-5 feet, then speeds off like his arse was on fire.

    Luckily he missed me, but MORE luckily the minivan full of kids going to school actually stopped at their stop sign (directly opposite me). If they hadn’t, they might’ve been creamed by Senior Dumbasso.

    Unfortunately the world is full of Dumbassos… this area in particular. Hopefully this particular one, as well as Mr. Mazda 6 will have an awakening that doesn’t involve killing or hurting people.

    Must be the day for speeding through stop signs — in my own neighborhood, a woman didn’t even slow down, blew right through — as kids were assembling on the corner for the school bus. All’s well that end’s well, but geez.

    But with the sun low on the horizon, the dew on the ball fields at Bejamin Banneker Park was glistening. I don’t have Pete’s photography skills, but it was beautiful. You don’t get those vistas from I-66 . . .

    If they want to kill themselves by being dumbassos that’s generally ok with me.
