“If you know someone who owns a Rivendell Betty Foy in the DC/Northern VA area, please respond here. There is an obviously stolen “antique” Betty Foy being offered for sale.”

I’m curious as to why people are up in arms claiming that bike’s stolen. While it’s obviously not “antique” as advertised, it’s only a $1k frameset from Rivendell, and they’re asking $2k for it. Doesn’t set off flags for me.

That’s easily a bike someone could have put out at a yard sale thinking it was just an old bike and some flipper got it that knew what it was worth.
