I threw the container of Bike Arlington shwag sunscreen into my bag on my ride out in Purceville this weekend. Around 2:30 I had the swear I smelled barbecue and felt the sizzle of flesh. I stopped for a gel at a rest stop and used 3/4 of the bottle. My partner said his would still be there…by the time they pulled us he was charred.

I just wanted to thank Tim for the shwag, it paid off big time. I’ll take the sunburned sections of forehead in areas that were exposed by my helmet to not completely burn my overly pail limbs.

    Keep up the good work

Okay, hopefully the title of the post is not literal . . . unless you were doing a Northern Virginia version of the World Naked Bike Ride, which I do not encourage, should anyone be getting any ideas.

But I do endorse sunscreen on any exposed body parts! Avoid the tan lines that mark you as a cyclist.

Huh? Wear them proudly :p. Especially the helmet vent and fingerless glove ones!

I wore the goofy ankle bracelet today just because.

I dragged my Bike Arlington bag all over four theme parks in Orlando. It held up better than I did. Count me as part of the Tim Kelley Fan Club.

Congrats on a great ride, BTW.

That’s funny, Tim dropped me like an anchor on Sunday (okay I dropped myself by dropping my chain BEFORE Tim shot off the front with the crazy fast group).

It’s okay, Tim indirectly helped a friend of mine get home safe yesterday, I gave her the bike light Tim gave me when I had forgotten my light.

Tim Kelley, protector of men’s as*es everywhere? Is there nothing he can’t do?

Mr. Blacknell, oh wizened one, you are confused. Dirt’s most recent lecture was about saving men’s asses. Trust me on this, I’ve committed large sections to memory. Mr. Kelley is more like a Rescue Hero.

PS- I am not kissing up in hopes of more swag, I’d never do that.

I put that on my frame just in case I happened upon another forum member. Maybe like a secret gang handshake.

Hell yeah that’s what I was thinking. I have developed the darkest finger tips recently…just weird.

I misread the title as “shaved”
