I’ve noticed an odd surface numbness below my knee on my left leg, about 10:30 o’clock if looking down from above at my knee. It’s not in the knee but a few inches below it in the muscle/tissue between the shin (which is 11 to 1:30) and the calf (starts at 9:30 and earlier). In addition, if I happen to brush up against there (say, laying on by stomach in bed) it can be sharply painful if there’s any pressure on that “channel”. However, it not a problem at all cycling/walking, etc.

Any idea what muscle/tendon/nerve is being aggravated?

And yes, I plan to bring it up with my doc next week.

Holy crap man, sounds like you might be on the verge of something really bad.

Be careful, snapping anything in that area will down you for some time.
