    Would love to get to Nationals games this season by bike. Any recommendations for a road bike-friendly route from Nationals Stadium to a North Arlington address. Preferred Potomac crossings are TR or Key bridge, but priority is for 100% paved surface route.

    w/out looking at DC bike map suggest custis through rosslyn to Mt Vernon along river and over 15th (or 14th st) bridge…down to Jefferson Memorial and Right on Main (near sw waterfront) and you are only 1.4 miles from the stadium. Main gets heavy traffic at rush hour and certainly around ball game time but its rideable for a seasoned rider. And dont forgert free bike valet at the ball park.

    I would add that from Maine Ave you can pick up Water Street, which connects you to P Street (and the ball park).

    If you want to avoid Maine Ave, a great detour from the 14th St bridge is to go down the internal roads on the Mall then turn south down 4th St SW. Take that all the way til you hit the wall at Fort McNair then turn left on P St SW – it takes you straight to the ballpark. Very low traffic on all segments.
