Good morning! My name is Sabrina V and I’m the team captain for BAFS Team #10.

A little about me – I am a federal employee and yoga teacher located in northwest DC. While I mostly ride for transportation these days, I also enjoy social/leisure rides. I founded the group DC Queer Bikes and love getting more people in the saddle!

You are more than welcome to introduce yourself in this thread and share why you decided this was the year (and the bitterly cold winter) to sign up for Freezing Saddles.

Please join the Team 10 Strava group as soon as possible. Team members will all receive a link in their email.

Hey everyone! I’m Lydia, a university staff librarian in NW DC.  Wanted to ring in my first winter as a proper bike (rather than Metro) commuter in DC!

Hi all! I’m Ashley and this is my first year participating in FS. I had heard about it through friends and decided it was a good motivator to push myself to ride year round. I grew up in Texas, so the winter here is always a struggle, but I’m loving the points system and community around FS!

    Hi Team 10-10-10,

I’m excited to participate in my first FS this year – I moved to the DMV in 1998 from the UK, signed up for the DC AIDS Ride and have never looked back in terms of cycling being my main form of exercise and greatest source of joy. I’m a leadership coach and facilitator of team-building sessions, team retreats etc. I love to laugh and am thrilled to see the creativity and foolishness in the many pointless prizes.

Originally I come from Manchester in the UK. Merlin, it was cool to see your Yorkshire rides this week. Impressive gradients!

    Cheers, Fiona
