I have the Garmin Varia UT 800. It is nice since it is out front and under my computer with a quick release. However, even though it offers up to 800 lm it does not spread the light very wide, so on a windy trail, you will have trouble seeing ahead on curves. They also offer a helmet mount, so perhaps that would solve this issue, or better yet, have two lights!
