Yes, a huge thank you, Judd, for your generosity in sponsoring this contest and jump starting us on many fun experiences. And a shout out to Sophie and Gina, and all participants who worked hard (and made me work hard) giving back. You all made this contest fun!
kmriceParticipantFinished out FS with a bike to Jones Point and some trail edging. A good turnout-
we missed you Judd, but understand you were away for the weekend. PS-have my selfie skills improved? (You’d say no if you knew how many tries it took to get this one).Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

kmriceParticipantSpent Tuesday evening removing old/worn parts from donated bikes at Phoenix Bikes in Arlington. Worked on a steel bike from the 70s that’s unbelievably still in decent shape!

kmriceParticipantJoined Kurt Moser and the Four Mile Run Conservatory for a stream bed clean up along the four mile run trail. After recent rains, there was a LOT of debris [emoji15][emoji3166]

kmriceParticipantMarch 5 – Joined Friends of Mt. Vernon trail in cleaning out the overgrown undergrowth near Marina Towers. Got to play at being the troll under the bridge. Remembered to take a pic, but (sigh) my selfie skills have not improved. ( bike is in background).

kmriceParticipantAnother belated post. . . Volunteered Tuesday evening (Mar 1) at Phoenix bikes’ training program. Learned to adjust breaks and derailleurs. (Was so busy getting derailleurs adjusted just right I forgot to take a pic[emoji16])

kmriceParticipantJoined Earth Sangha crew in clearing out invasive ivy and honeysuckle from the Maria Butler Leven Nature Preserve in McLean.
(And selfie skills are improving, not quite there yet, but improving).

kmriceParticipantJoined FoMVT again for day 2 of Gravelly Point clean up. Got to do one of my favorite chores. . . Eradicating invasive honeysuckle. A good days’ work!

kmriceParticipantBelated post—joined Judd and the FofMV for an amazingly organized clean up event at Gravelly Point this past Monday. Gorgeous day to get out and clean up the storm damage!

kmriceParticipantBiked over to join the Four Mile Run Conservancy yesterday for a stream bed clean up along the Four Mile Run trail (note the bicycling connection[emoji1]). Lotta trash out there.
A couple of wet shoes later (fortunately not my bike shoes), we’d each picked up 2+trash bags full!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
kmriceParticipantI spent the afternoon in the Red Cross blood donation center downtown. (And I heard a similar story—staffing shortages prevent more blood collection events). I did not have to wait as long as you Steve-about an hour, in and out

kmriceParticipantI’m still in the game—Got some of my garden club buddies together to clean invasive vines out trees along the WOD in Falls Church. We cleaned vines out of four apple trees.

kmriceParticipantThanks, Judd!
