500+ since April. Gotta be a record! Seems like maybe it earns a Bike Arlington Jersey or something

Or a perma-ban for clogging up the forum :D

We’ve never met, but after 500+ posts you’ve made on this board since April, I’m really intrigued to meet you in person.

I don’t actually speak much in person, being perishingly shy, hence all my talking here 😮

It was good that Arlingtonrider was able to join us.

While most of us were drinking some coffee beverage (it is after all, the coffee club), KelOnWheels added some class to the event.

    Great seeing everybody!

Look! There is my new jersey. Wow I need a haircut. I think that’s Mr. Burns in my coffee.

    Today!

Got up almost as early as I planned and made it to Friday Coffee Club!

Various parts of me were tired so I did not ride fast. Also it was very nice out and I didn’t really see the plus side of actually arriving at work, except that they pay me, which is good, as I can exchange legal tender for goods and services relating to cycling. Or, y’know, pay bills, which is not as much fun except that if I pay my rent it gives me a place to keep my bike when I’m not riding it.

Also I got a Real Deal e-mail for 50% off eyelash extensions, which is apparently a thing. My eyelashes already hit my cycling glasses, so I do not think I need them extended, plus I’d rather get new bar grips and fenders and smaller shorts.

This sun thing is getting difficult as it is all in my eyes in the morning and at night, which is very tricky of it. There are some bits on the trail where I must slow way down as I cannot actually see, which seems like a good time to slow down. Maybe if I was ELITE I would not slow down.

    Zoom!

There was an entire thread on this. Maybe we could revive that to add new thoughts?

Are you suggesting that a thread started by me should stay on topic? ;)

Good turnout today! It was great to see you all! :) And if you weren’t there, I missed you. :(

If this picture was not totally blurry, you could see some of the people that were there.

😡 Beware the grumpy guy in the D. vest yelling at you about where you park your bikes 😡

BTW I am now on the early shift, and will open the joint, if anyone wants to arrive at 7. Otherwise I will pretend to work.

D dot dude should watch out, after the week I’ve had I will either punch him or cry. Possibly both.

I’m going to try to get there early since I have to be at work at 8:30 :)

No matter what I put into that calculator, I never get khaki. Something must be wrong.

I think it’s an ELITE calculator. It told me my socks were too short, long, and the wrong color.

To the two cyclists coming through the 4MRT underpasses who discovered me wedged against the railing right before the uphill turns, you were absolutely right, that WAS a bad place to stop.

Not as bad as the guy that was right in front of me who started up the left hand turn and then stopped with his bike blocking the entire trail, though.

ArlNow.com makes me tired and quiet.

Also, I keep reading the title of this thread as “Anti-helmet mines.”

That’s a bit early for me, but better than most women. Push that up a few hours, and you’ll close in on being the PERFECT woman.

Pft. I only talk on the Internet, I play video games, eat bacon, ride a bike, run, and like dogs.

    Mr. OnWheels ain’t complainin’ ;)

This morning was FABULOUS! Who got to ride today? We are lucky people. :)

I thought about wearing a jacket, but then I was glad I didn’t.
I need to figure out what to wear for what temperatures – I know it for running, but cycling will be different I imagine.

Someone on a white road bike hung behind me by the airport for a moment & when they passed said “You’re getting that little bike going pretty fast!” so that made me happy. :)

YOU ALL WILL BE HAPPY TO KNOW: Apparently the walkway on the 14th St Bridge is now so wide that no one needs to call their passes. Or maybe everyone was looking at the flags. I was, so I was content to hang out and go slowly.

I need sunglasses that are half sun and half clear so I have an eye for each thing. It’s hard to see under the underpasses.

I should probably clean & lube the bike the night before (I was going to, but I fell asleep). I keep finding bike grease on me. My front derailleur needs adjusting. Perhaps I will watch the Park Tools video tonight.

    BIKES ROCK!
