I actually scouted my route via Google last week for good beer spots on hot days where I needed a recharge. My options are extremely limited, I’m sad to say

Well, I rode, so I’m stuck with it. If it’s really bad, I can catch various buses around where I need to get, but that is very slow. If things are way too bad, I’ll hide until 7pm and hop a metro train.

    SHELTER IN PLACE!

I recommend a place with beer and sausages.

Yup, I was trying not to blow into Four Mile Run during that event of the weather. No fun.

Well pewp. I was going to ride tomorrow because I did not ride today because I did that running thing yesterday and ran too hard and wore out mah legs and if I’m gonna pay $100 to run this half marathon thing then I’m gonna be darn sure I’m in runnable condition on race day and also run on sentences.

    So maybe I won’t then. :(

I thought the whole reason we rode bikes was so that we didnt have to ride the subway !!

My non-bike commute this morning did not fill me with love for my fellow man, that’s for sure.

Now, if they would only amend their policy about no bikes during rush, I would be SO happy. I know that could be a nightmare if not done properly, but aren’t there other cities with large transit systems that allow bikes? At least adjust the hours a little bit, I’ve hopped on at 7pm on days when I just don’t have enough in the tank to get home, and it seems like 7pm is WAY later than it needs to be.

Or just make the last car of the train the People With Stuff car and take half the seats out. Then everybody with a giant triple-wide baby stroller or a huge rolly suitcase or a bike or whatever won’t be in the way of all the other people.

I get those emails from the clymb and even got fooled into signing up. I am underwhelmed. Do you follow cleansnipe.com, Kel? From my experience that has better deals.

As far as the picture…I was young, desperate and needed the money. What can I say?

I haven’t bought anything from The Clymb yet but every now and then they have some decent looking deals. Y’know, until they burned my eyes out with transparent cycling jackets.

Back to the off-topic topic for a moment, The Clymb has a bunch of cycling stuff on sale right now. Holla if you’d like a referral link.

Also, someone needs to explain to me this picture, for I do not think I am ELITE enough to gaze upon this.

I recommend catching and eating a couple of ELITE cyclists as they should have a good platelet count.

If you lurk in wait on the trails and spoke them, they’ll fall over and not be able to fend you off with their underdeveloped arms. You’ll probably want some steak sauce though, they’re pretty lean.

Kel is just as groovy but entirely different in person.

I hired an actor to do all my public appearances.

(That’s why I don’t talk in public. Couldn’t afford the SAG rates for a speaking role.)
