after an extraordinarily busy day at work (combined with a day of unsuccessfully attempting to fix my computer) i’m finally here and on the strava club. during the week i’m usually consistent about biking to and from work every day (though some days i have to leave the bike at the office and just take it home the next day). weekends i try to get at least one slightly longer ride in, though i haven’t been too good about that. barring anything major and unfortunate happening, i shouldn’t be missing a day though, which is the most important thing.

i’m going to withhold any team-name suggestions until i think of something exceptionally clever. so that could take a while.

“willpower” huh. never heard of it. that doesn’t sound like a thing.

oh no. i was planning on using the motivation to bike every day as a way to help my plan to lose a bit of weight this winter…

so what you’re saying is i have a totally viable excuse to give my wife about why i need more ridiculous socks? because last time we were out she vetoed the cheetah print and neon pink ones because “they’re ugly”. but if it’s for points in a game SHE HAS TO SAY YES!

i wish i had noticed this before. i’ve got a small collection of neck things and i wouldn’t have minded getting another. that being said, i just built up a new bike and one of the first things i did was put my freezing saddles reflecty-thing on it. so if you’re even in Rockville you’ll see me.

    edit:
I do like the zipper pull idea, too

hooray! i’ll be there for sure. my wife maaaaay also come, but is skeptical enough about living with one whackjob that’ll bike all winter, let alone being in a room full of us.

you have no idea how many anti-spam features are embedded in that form (captcha, honeypot, akismet, and questions that require specific sorts of answers). Apparently, you are an advanced form of ai, because no other robots have ever gotten through.

    take that, turing test!

i guess i’m just lucky you didn’t include a captcha to keep me out. we can never figure out those squiggly symbols.

i mean… ha ha… what a joke, i am just a totally normal human person, and not a robot at all.

woohoo! signed up again. spent a bunch of time setting up fenders on my new bike (man, those are a huge pain to get right). next stop, deciding between sticking with 700c x 33 or going to 650b x 43s!

I didn’t know we allowed either warmth or propulsion in Freezing Saddles!

if it’s for heat it definitely shouldn’t be allowed. it’s “freezing saddles”, not “heated-to-a-dangerous-degree-using-rocket-fuel saddles”

I know you won’t deny this rule: No colliding with cars two weeks before FS17 ends on 3/20/17!

well i know i’m hoping that doesn’t happen again. turns out getting hit by a car sucks. though it did move me into tied for 3rd place in the london bridge comp…
